19th December prayers

Father God, You are so patient with us. Show us the way to wait patiently and expectantly this Advent. Help us not to wish time away to the 'big day' but guide us to be be good waiters. When we moan about frustrations, uncertainties, 'poor service' or anything else remind us that You are in control of all things and let us be thankful for that and all that You have given us. Show us the meaning of waiting on You and enable us to help others in the waiting they have to do and lead them to wait patiently and expectantly for You also. Amen.
