18th December prayers

Heavenly Lord, as we get closer to the day we celebrate Your birth, equip us to ponder in our hearts and minds what it meant for You to be born, not in a palace but a poor stable to light our way. Let us join the joyful songs of praise to You this Advent, Christmas and every day. As we ponder help us to think about Your light that even darkness cannot overcome and prepare our expectant waiting for Your second coming. Grant us opportunities to speak of Your love, joy, peace and hope to others so that they too begin to ponder in their hearts. In Your Holy Name we pray. Amen
