13th December prayers

God of wisdom, there are 'signs that Christmas is coming' all around us with the glitter, flashing lights, decorations and presents. Let us capture and remember what Christmas is really about in our hearts at this time and everyday. Let us ponder these things just as Mary did. Help us to aid others to see the true meaning of Christmas this Advent and Christmas season just as the angels aided the shepherds to see You in person. Let those we aid in this way be truly amazed and ponder in their hearts the message they have heard just as those the shepherds told were. Let them come to know why Christmas is truly important and fill them with Your wisdom to remember the reason throughout the rest of their lives. Amen
