Reflective Prayer Area
Jesus knew how busy life could be and encouraged his followers by saying "come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest" (Mark 6:31).
To assist in having a quiet and restful place we have recently developed a themed prayer area in the north aisle.
"I can only speak for myself when I say that it can be so easy to get caught up in the busyness of everyday life! Finding a quiet space, away from distractions, to stop and catch my breath with God is sometimes difficult. Whether you find this is the case for you or not, you are invited to "come...be still...and rest" in the reflective prayer space. You are welcome whether it is for a minute or longer." (Anne-Marie who helped develop the idea of the area)
From the main door follow the oink signs like the one pictured below to get to the prayer area.

Community Prayer Tree
This is the current theme for the summer (2025). As part of this theme we are giving away packs of wild flowers which have the prayer on the image below right (please click on it to see an enalrged version).

Previous Themes
The pictures below were done for Pentecost (Please click the images to see larger versions of them).
"Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them. (Acts 2:2-4).

People were asked to reflect and pray and were invited to write or draw on a flame and place it in the fire. These prayers will be included in the monthly, “Wholeness and Healing” service.
As you stop to catch your breath… May God’s stillness settle on you like dew in the morning. May God’s presence still your soul. May you be captivated by God’s love as you take a moment to rest with Jesus
The theme below was inspired by Jesus meeting his disciples for breakfast on the beach after his ressurection (John 21:1-17). (Please click on it to see a larger version of it).
