8th December prayers

Lord Jesus as we prepare for celebrating Your birth let us be full of joy and let us long for Your second coming. Fill us with Your Spirit to help and guide us to be watchful rather than penitent, hopeful rather than heavy hearted. Send Your peace that ensures calmness and breathing spaces during a very busy time. Like Mary did, enable us to wait diligently, willingly on God, to know where our story is going. Lead us to those who don't know You and demonstrate to them know that, in God there is always hope and a steady assurance that He is already and always will be working His purposes out. Amen. Amen
