Our Churchyard

The churchyard at All Saints Church is a place of peace, reflection, and remembrance. For generations, it has been a resting place for loved ones, and it remains an important space for our community today. It is divided into two parts:

1. The churcyard immediately surrounding the church is 'closed' which means no one else can be buried in this space.

One of the headstones found in this section is of Thomas Gardiner a 19 year old post boy who was murdered on January 3rd 1732. Click on the picture of his headstone to be taken to further information about him.

2. Churchyard extension, across the road

The first part of this (before hedge/fence - see photos below) is under the care of All Saints. The churchyard extension has space for internments of ashes but is closed for full body burials.

To help keep our churchyard respectful, safe, accessible for all  and in harmony with the beauty of our historic church, there are some important guidelines around burials and memorials. Click here to find an overview of these.

If you have any questions, wish to arrange a burial or internment of ashes, or ask for a search for a specific grave (for example if you are researching family history) please do get in touch by clicking here – we’re here to help.

The second part (after the hedge/fence- see photos below) is cared for by Nettleham Parish Council. Please contact them directly on 01522 750011 or email parishcouncil@nettleham-pc.gov.uk if you have any questions regarding this area.
