Bishops Palace Site 

In the field next door to the Methodist Church can be found the remains of the former palace for the Bishops of Lincoln. It is here that it is thought that the first English Prince of Wales was proclaimed by Edward 1st in 1301 when his court and parliament were in Lincoln.
