All Saints' Medieval Tower

The tower of All Saints' has stood sentinel over the village for 800 years or more. We have major plans to undertake extensive repairs on its timber roof, its medieval stonework, its whole fabric inside and out, its clock faces, its bells and its windows. We also want to revamp the whole are at the rear of the church under the tower.

The major project will cost over £300,000.

We prepared a scheme to submit to the Heritage Lottery Fund. We are delighted to share that we have been successful in our application to the National Lottery Heritage Fund for £248,000 towards the tower restoration!

We will be trying to source other grants. There are many ways in which the whole community can get involved. Find out more about the Tower Top to Bottom project here.

In the short term, we've hit a problem, and we are having to do an emergency repair scheme on parts of the tower that just cannot wait. If you want to find more, and maybe donate towards this work, click on Tower Emergency.
